Pre-call questionnaire

A pre-call questionnaire that does the thinking for you

Most coaches paste a few questions into a booking tool and read the answers cold, right before the call. A pre-call questionnaire should produce a scored decision — Fit, Readiness, Risk, and an A/B/C/D tier — not another free template to re-read under time pressure.

Interactive scorecard

Score a prospect in 30 seconds

Demo rules only — same three axes Briefcue uses in production. High fit with high risk never becomes an A.

Fit

How closely does this prospect match the clients you do your best work with?

Readiness

Budget, timeline, and decision path — will they act now?

Risk

Red flags: done-for-you expectations, uncoachable stance, pure price shopping.

Why a form isn't enough

Intake forms collect answers. They don't interpret them.

Typeform, Calendly questions, and intake forms all do the same thing: they collect replies. You still do the work of reading them, weighing them, and deciding — usually under time pressure, minutes before the call. A real pre-call questionnaire interprets the answers for you, so the decision is made before the calendar invite goes out.

What to ask (after you know how scoring works)

Eight questions that separate buyers from tire-kickers

These map to three things — fit, readiness, and risk. Use them as a starting point; Briefcue tailors them to your specific coaching offer.

  1. What's the biggest result you're chasing in the next 90 days?
  2. What's currently standing in the way?
  3. What have you already tried to solve this?
  4. What's your revenue, team size, or stage? (pick what fits your offer)
  5. What would success look like six months from now?
  6. What's your budget for solving this?
  7. When are you looking to start?
  8. Anything else I should know before we talk? (open-ended)

The first seven are scored automatically. The open-ended one is where the real signal lives — Briefcue reads it for buying intent and adds it to the tier.
